The second button says "click here to select an electron to trace." When you click this button, the motion on the screen will stop. You can then click on any electron. The electron will turn pink to indicate that you have clicked upon it. When you click the same button, the simulation will regain its motion. The electron you clicked upon will now leave a pink line as a trace of its motion. To remove the line, simply stop the motion, and click the electron again. The election will not turn red again and will have no trace line.
